Gabrielle Roberts

Gabrielle is from Minneapolis and the Owner of the 612 Jungle - Minneapolis's First & Only Hip Hop Yoga Studio. She completed her 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training in 2016, and since has completed an additional 200 hours in 2018 - both with Lindsay Lewis.

After going through Teacher Training, she found true joy in the practice and most importantly in how it made her feel.  After training, she set out to make yoga accessible, relatable, and empowering for EVERYone.  She is known for her soulful approach to the practice, and delivers in a light-hearted and comforting way. Gabrielle is passionate about spreading yoga to the people in her community and feels that wellness should not break the bank.

Kirsten DeHaven

Kirsten (she/they) believes that yoga is a gateway to learning more about yourself. As a chiropractic student and yoga teacher, she loves to mix science with expression. Growing up as a dancer, Kirsten incorporates creativity into her teachings and encourages intuitive exploration of the body in motion.

Going through yoga teacher training was a major turning point in Kirsten’s life. The process brought intense healing, connection and awareness into her yoga practice and life. Kirsten is honored and energized to work alongside Gabrielle Roberts leading YTT at 612 jungle this summer!

"This training came at a great time in my life. While the world around me was literally going up in flames, here I was grounded on a lawn shooting energy through my fingertips. YTT challenged me to open my heart and let go of things that no longer served me. 612 Jungle has its own way of building deeper connections that go beyond the mat. I couldn't have manifested a better studio to guide me out of my mind and into my body. I didn't choose 612 Jungle, 612 Jungle chose me."

Shontel Booker

"I full enjoyed this training and I got so much more out of it than what I was originally expecting. At first I signed up solely to strengthen my personal practice as yoga took a back seat for me when covid shut everything down. I had no idea how to continue my practice on my own or where to start. I had no intention to teach. During the first week I contemplated quitting as I quickly realized this was indeed a teacher training and I would be expected to practice teach to others - I'm glad I took a step out of my comfort zone and stuck with it. Now that we are in the home stretch of YTT I realize my relationship with yoga has changed. I've adopted an almost daily practice and I do enjoy sharing the practice by teaching to friends and family. I also appreciate that this was a covid friendly training - I enjoyed meeting in person while we were able, but also loved having the option of meeting online only if that is what I had chose to do. Thanks for making this an affordable training. In my home we went from 2 incomes to just one for most of 2020 so if it weren't for you making this so accessible and being able to work with me on a payment schedule there is no way I would have been able to take YTT. I will be recommending this YTT to anyone I know who is interested!"
